Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using Calculateos at calculateos.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Acceptance
By using the Site, you confirm that you can form a binding agreement and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are under the minimum age in your country (13, or up to 16 in some EU member states), please do not use the Site.
2. Who we are
Calculateos is operated by its owner. Contact: legal@calculateos.com.
3. What we provide
The Site offers free, browser-based informational calculators — such as percentage and percentage-change tools, with further calculators (for example tip, BMI, and age) added over time. The Site is provided free of charge and without any user account.
4. No professional advice
The calculators and their results are for general information only and are not professional advice. In particular:
- BMI and other health-related results are not medical advice and are not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.
- Percentage, tip, tax, and similar results are not financial, tax, or accounting advice.
- Nothing on the Site is legal advice.
You are solely responsible for how you use any result. Always verify important figures independently and consult a qualified professional before making medical, financial, legal, or other significant decisions. Do not rely on the calculators for any regulated or safety-critical purpose.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose;
- access the Site by automated means or scrape it at a volume that affects its availability or that of other users;
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Site or its security;
- frame or embed the Site in a way that misrepresents it, or remove any proprietary notices;
- introduce malware or otherwise disrupt the Site’s normal operation.
6. Intellectual property
The Site’s source code, design, layout, text, and original content are owned by the operator and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the Site for your personal, non-commercial calculations. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute substantial parts of the Site without permission, except as permitted by law. Typefaces and open-source libraries used by the Site remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their respective licenses.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result is accurate or suitable for your purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any result it produces. Because the Site is provided free of charge, the operator’s total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Site shall not exceed EUR 0 (the amount you paid to use the Site). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Availability and termination
The Site is offered on a voluntary basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any feature at any time, without notice and without liability. We may also restrict access to anyone who breaches these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Site evolves. For material changes we will post a prominent notice on the Site. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of that place, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
12. General
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect (severability). These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Site. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours to a successor operator of the Site. We provide these Terms in several languages for your convenience; if there is any discrepancy between language versions, the English version prevails.
